‘On your Bike’ is a project run by Rural Health and Care Wales, funded by Cynnal y Cardi, which aims to encourage physical activity in young people by giving them the opportunity to use outdoor static bikes to charge their mobile devices.

The bikes will be installed in various locations across Ceredigion and will allow young people to generate energy to charge their mobiles phones, tablets and iPads – providing a link between outdoor recreation and the modern day high level engagement with technology.
Physical activity not only has positive health benefits, it also improves well-being and happiness!

Following consultation with over 300 young people from across Ceredigion four locations were identified to site the bikes; Aberystwyth, Aberaeron, Cardigan and Lampeter. We are currently engaging with community groups, Town Councils and the County Council to determine where best to site the bikes in each location.
